APSYS is specialized in risks management over several domains such as aerospace, defence, transport or energy. In the frame of Human Factors activities development for APSYS Aerospace division, we are looking for a Junior Physiology & Cognitive Ergonomics specialist to apply human factors and ergonomics skills to the definition, design, and evaluation of products within the Engineering division of our customer.

The Physiology Human Factors Specialist ensures that users are considered as a central element of the system and subsystem design. She/he will optimize human operator workload and minimize errors, enable effective abnormal situation responses and enhance task performance as part of the mission.

  • Apply Physiology and Cognitive Ergonomics knowledge of human factors principles and techniques to critical & complex layouts, functions, technologies and operations.

  • Contribute to make a human-centred design, safe and more effective for human use.

  • Ensure physical adaptation of general workspace layout and Human Machine Interaction means to users’ needs.

  • Design methodology to test assumptions to collect and process the right level of data.

  • Organize and drive the work on human factors tasks to efficiently support product development efforts within the organization.

 Are you the One ?

  • Master Degree or Ph.D in Electrophysiology, Neurosciences, Ergonomics and Cognitive sciences with applied research and experimental study (design methodology, process statistical data and results);

  • Neurophysiological techniques and tools (EEG signal recording and processing);

  • Experience in application of ergonomics tools and methods in an industrial context:

  • Ergonomics tools (User trials, literature review, interviewed structured, task and errors analysis, scales…);

  • Experience in programming tools;

  • Proven ability in good problem solving, self-motivation, curious and eager to learn;

  • Proven ability to speak up when required, be able to justify and defend a position, critical thinking;

  • Be aware of new technologies and evolutions of HF discipline, propose evolutions / innovations;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills;

  • Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams that may include other human factors experts.

  • Knowledge in fatigue measurement, workload and stress would be a plus.

  • Knowledge in aeronautics and piloting/maintenance tasks would be a plus.
